Ademina Academy is committed to making our website and mobile app usable by everyone, including learners with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. This statement describes our current approach, what we've done so far, and how to reach us if something isn't working for you.
1. Our Commitment
We aim to meet or work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, across our web platform and mobile app. This is an ongoing effort — as we continue building and refining Ademina Academy, we review and improve accessibility as part of our regular development process rather than treating it as a one-time fix.
2. What We've Done So Far
- Our Moodle-based platform uses accessible navigation, headings, and labelled form fields provided by Moodle's core accessibility features.
- Course content pages support text resizing and are designed to remain usable when browser zoom is increased.
- We maintain reasonable color contrast between our navy, gold, and cream brand colors, particularly for buttons, links, and body text.
- Our mobile app inherits accessibility support built into the underlying Moodle App framework, including screen reader compatibility on Android.
3. Known Limitations
We're aware that not every part of the platform is fully accessible yet. Some areas that may still present difficulties include:
- Certain older course materials (PDFs, scanned documents, or embedded videos) that may not yet have captions, alt text, or screen-reader-friendly formatting.
- Some third-party embedded content (e.g., YouTube videos) that relies on that provider's own accessibility features rather than ours.
- Custom-styled course cards and carousels, which we are actively reviewing for keyboard navigation and screen reader support.
4. Feedback & Contact
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Ademina Academy. If you experience any accessibility barriers, please get in touch:
- Website: ademinaacademy.it.com
Please include the page or feature you were using, the device and assistive technology involved (if any), and a brief description of the issue — this helps us reproduce and resolve it faster.
5. Technical Information
Ademina Academy is built on Moodle, an open-source learning management system, using the AlmondB theme with custom styling. Our mobile app is based on the official Moodle App framework. Accessibility improvements to the underlying Moodle core benefit our platform automatically as we update to newer Moodle releases.
6. Ongoing Review
This statement will be reviewed and updated as we make further improvements to the platform. We do not consider accessibility "finished" — it's a continuing part of how we build and maintain Ademina Academy.
